How Lagos State Governor Ambode plans to ban danfo buses.

Lagos State Governor , Akinwunmi Ambode announced plans to ban commercial buses, commonly known as danfo, in the metropolis. However, despite updates about the new white and blue buses that will replace the danfo, the government is yet to provide a detailed plan of the routes they will cover, the timeline of the roll-out plan and the fate of those most concerned, the danfo drivers. Lagos has big plans of being a megacity in coming years. To achieve this, successive governors have phased out various familiar elements of the city in a bid to develop its systems and infrastructure to catch up with advancements in contemporaries such as Mumbai , Johannesburg and Rio .
